We DID IT!

YIKES!! The Mesecher's (and Granny Loree) are now officially bald! For those of you who are surprised by this- whoops! We have been raising money for a Chidren's Cancer Research organization called St. Baldrick's for a few months now and the event was held last Saturday.

As a group (organized by my friend Scott Cotton) the event participants raised over $14K and shaved more than 30 heads - including 4 women!

Welcome to our new normal!
This was our last picture with hair...

It didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would to go from shoulder length hair to nada...
My mom and I were the last to be buzzed- the organizers were lucky we didn't chicken-out!

Some before, during, and after pictures...
Nick, Owen, and our friend Scott Cotton, who organized the event.
Owen was the youngest fund raiser and "Shavee" he was a little nervous at the event, so we shaved him at home:)
Ethan's last shave was last August after he was done playing Michael in Casper College's production of Peter Pan. He provides my inspiration and hope that I will have a little hair back (please?) by Christmas!

Isaac was the first boy to lose the "mop"! He had been growing his hair out since last May and was ready to get it out of his eyes!

Annabelle was so anxious to get her pig tails cut! She kept asking, "Is it my turn yet??" and was the first one in our family to get buzzed. Anna's pre-school friends brought in almost $100 in piggy bank change and a friend's grandma donated $100 to Annabelle's cause:)

Wow! Good for you guys. I don't know if I would be brave enough to go bald, even for a good cause.
